キーワード :
A new electronic matrix transducer represents a technological breakthrough in general ultrasound imaging. The ability to place a dynamically focussed beam anywhere within a 3-dimensional field-of-view allows for high-resolution conventional 2D, live bi-plane and 3D/4D imaging, all from the same transducer; being wholly electronic, full 90 × 90 degree volumes can be acquired with near-isotropic resolution in less than one second.
This offers new opportunities for clinical applications, e.g. MPR, multislice imaging and rapid volumetric analysis, as well as changes in workflow, improvements in efficiency and teleradiology.
The presentation will show how this new technology allows ultrasound to move to a working model similar to that of CT and MR, with all the benefits of safe, real-time imaging.
