To evaluate the effects of different concentrations of ethanol on healthy canine liver, we studied the changes at the injection sites on ultrasonographic, macroscopic and histologic findings. The results were as follows:
1) The hyperechoic region and the acoustic shadow at the injection site on ultrasonography become less prominent with lower ethanol concentration injections.
2) The extent of cell damage on histology become less prominent with lower ethanol concentration injections.
