Aortic blood flow (F) was non-invasively measured by ultrasonic pulsed Doppler flowmeter (UPDF). Response of F and dF/dt to exercise test by ergometer (50 W. 3 min.) was recorded continuously for 7 normal subjects and 5 patients with ishemic heart disease (IHD). 1) The value of peak dF/dt at rest showed significantly higher in normal subjects than in the patients with ejectional fraction less than 50% (p
