We report ultrasonograms of duodenal ulcer. All cases we report here were pointed out duodenal ulcer with ultrasound prior to radiographic or endoscopic examinations.
Forty four patients were diagnosed as duodenal ulcer with radiographic or endoscopic examinations and surgical operations. Thirty six patients who had abnormal ultrasonic findings turned out to be true positive out of the forty four patients.
One of the most important pattern in ultrasonography seemed to be thickening of the duodenal wall.　
This pattern consist of central strong echo surrounded by a sonolucent rim corresponding to thickening of the duodenal wall.
So, we concluded that enough care should be taken not only of the stomach but also of the duodenum.
